Employee Spotlight! Meet Ari Danelian!

Meet Ari Danelian, Operations Analyst III based in Salt Lake City!

In the past 3 years that Ari has been with tru Independence, she has become a pivotal member of the tru family. She has become a go-to resource for truView since day one of its launch for both advisors and her fellow coworkers. With a keen eye for problem-solving, she keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes, whether it’s tackling ad hoc requests, maintaining daily operations, or providing crucial CRM and custodian support, Ari ensures advisors have everything they need to succeed in a fast growing and ever-changing environment.

For Ari, tru Independence isn’t just a workplace, it’s a culture. She has found a company that aligns with her values and offers an environment unlike any other.

“I’ve never worked somewhere where everyone gets along so well, I feel like I can say anything or go to anyone if I need. It feels good to be in that kind of space.”

She says, noting that tru’s benefits also stand out compared to her peers in other industries.

The art of staying connected when working remote can be challenging but Ari has mastered this skill with all team members, even across different locations. “Being able to work remote has been a game-changer for me. I feel so blessed.” Even as a remote staff, Ari participates in company activities while maintaining a work-life balance. She has helped grow the tru book club with her love for reading, always giving staff book recommendations and insightful conversations.

Outside of work, Ari is someone who thrives on adventure and creativity. She loves spending time outdoors, whether backpacking through nature or setting up camp under the stars. When she's at home, you’ll likely find her and her cat Knives hosting dinner parties for friends, playing volleyball or tennis, or playing music with not one, but two bands where she plays the keyboard.

Though she works at tru, her journey into finance wasn’t always a given. With a father who is an RIA, she grew up around the industry but didn’t initially feel drawn to it. That changed when she took her first economics class in high school. “I realized economics is the stuff that makes sense to me, so I got my master’s in econ with an emphasis in finance.” She thrives in a role that challenges her to solve problems daily. “It’s like doing little puzzles all day—who wouldn’t enjoy that?”

Ari Danelian’s analytical mind, dedication, and ability to turn complex problems into elegant solutions make her an indispensable part of tru Independence. Her enthusiasm for the team’s culture makes her a key player, emphasizing why coworkers and clients love to have her at tru.
