Meet Kaylyn Campbell, Operations Analyst II at tru Independence! Since joining the tru team in February 2023, Kaylyn has made a significant impact on our operations, bringing her extensive experience and innovative mindset to the forefront. In her time at tru, she has demonstrated her dedication to improving performance, ensuring accurate reporting, and delivering top-notch services to clients.
Kaylyn's role is all about making magic happen behind the scenes. She focuses on data cleanup and streamlining business processes so that advisors can concentrate solely on their clients without worrying about their systems. Her ability to pivot no matter the task and excel in data analysis has also been instrumental in her role.
Outside of work, she has been an advocate for education and financial literacy in her community. One of her most rewarding projects was aimed to bring more women into the investing space. This initiative aimed to increase financial literacy among women, particularly widows and young adults, helping them become more involved in their financial journeys and opening up new financial horizons.
Kaylyn's willingness to grow and maintain a good sense of humor has been crucial in her success. Her experience as a client service associate has been particularly valuable, training her to look at each situation with the end client in mind, ensuring the best possible actions are taken.
"Coffee and work-life balance keep me motivated," Kaylyn shares, emphasizing the importance of fully relaxing during downtime and being completely focused when at work. This is done by enjoying an active lifestyle with her family. She and her husband, Matt, love bow hunting, fishing, going to the beach, riding dirt bikes, and side-by-sides. Every weekend is a targeted new adventure with their two-year-old daughter, Demi.
This theme of adventure has been a lifelong driving force for Kaylyn as she has traveled and lived all over the country including a time living in Australia. This inspiration in herself is acknowledged by her coworkers as they see her constantly challenging and driving herself forward.
“I think the best advice I could give someone that’s new to this industry would be, stay well-versed in financial literacy, not take anything personally, and maintain a sense of humor. Remember, we are all working with people, and no matter the situation we want to leave knowing that we all matter at the end of the day.”
